Lynn Flowers' love affair with food, especially Italian food, started in her mother's kitchen.  Lynn's mother, and her grandmother prepared home-made pastas and breads every day for the family table.  Lynn, like her mother before her, learned how to prepare fresh, home-made Italian cuisine in the family kitchen.  Cooking is in her bones.  No wonder your mouth begins to water when you read her menus, see her home-made breads, and smell the aromas of an Outer Banks Personal Chef prepared dinner!  It's that fabulous home-cooked meal you've been craving, prepared with care by a chef who wants you to enjoy, and relax while she creates and then, wonder of wonders, cleans up.  What's not to love?

A decade and a half of professional experience

Lynn started her professional cooking career in a number of Italian restaurants in and around Pittsburgh.  She also did a stint in a Greek restaurant, before apprenticing with a French chef at one of Pittsburgh's elite country clubs.

Moving to the Outer Banks in 1995, Lynn worked in several of the areas finest restaurants, including Petrozza's Deli, the Collington Cafe and at Ocean Boulevard as Sous Chef.  In 2001, Lynn opened Outer Banks Personal Chef, providing private meals to the areas many visitors.  Many of her clients are repeat customers who return to the Outer Banks for the beautiful views, the wonderful beaches and, oh yes, the fabulous food.

Six Summers of Outer Banks Personal Chef

Over the past six years, Lynn Flowers and Outer Banks Personal Chef have worked with hundreds of visitors on their personal food fantasies.  Here's just some of the many gigs we've done:

  • A private dinner where dinner by Lynn was the "Mother's Day present"
  • Five week long corporate retreats, with breakfast, lunch and dinner for 30 ravenous staff members
  • Bridal luncheons
  • Rehearsal dinners
  • Day-after wedding brunches
  • Birthday parties
  • Anniversary dinners
  • Private cooking classes (for the man or woman who wants to learn how to make divine dishes)

With groups from two to 35 , Lynn brings her personal touch and personal involvement to everything that is served.  For larger groups, we can also provide servers, clean up crews and bartenders.  Meals can be buffet or sit-down... and, no surprise, we're used to preparing one meal for the adults and another for the kids who want to eat-and-run.

In every case, Lynn brings her experience, her training, her personal commitment to every meal.  She and her husband Wayne have traveled throughout Europe, to Spain, France and Italy, enjoying the food, the drink and ambiance ... and want to bring that kind of pleasurable experience to your vacation in the Outer Banks.
